I strive to help clients learn to thrive in a world that wasn’t designed for them.

I specialize in working with the queer, neurodivergent and ENM/polyamorous communities, and I believe my biggest strength is a therapist is that I come from a place of lived experience within all of those communities.

I use a humanistic approach in my work with teens, adults, parents, and couples, pulling primarily from Existential Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. I highly value the therapeutic alliance and pride myself in building safe and authentic relationships with my clients.

As a provider serving primarily queer and neurodivergent clients, my approach typically includes healing past trauma that has been built up over years of being “different” utilizing EMDR. I also provide psychoeducation on neurodivergence to aid in self-understanding and acceptance, and teach my clients grounding, coping, and co-regulation skills to manage symptoms.

I am also passionate about providing accessible, low-cost, and affirming autism assessments and am currently pursuing additional advanced training in EMDR therapy and supporting clients with dissociative identities and experiences.

I also work with couples and those in other relationship structures and am passionate about working with couples who are beginning to explore ethical non-monogamy and/or polyamory and those for whom cross-neurotype understanding and communication or trauma create barriers to connection. I approach this through understanding each partner’s unique needs and gifts, exploring core values about love and relationships, delving into attachment behaviors and needs, mediating conflict, and exploring ways to connect in a stronger more authentic way.

I would love to help you heal, learn, grow, and build a life that is worth living.

I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Belleview University and am licensed as a Resident in Counseling to provide services to clients in Virginia under the supervision of Emily Francis.
