Meet Eva

No matter where you are in your journey, I hope to meet you there.

Sometimes it feels like we are very lost and no one can possibly understand us or what we’ve been through. Regardless of how you feel as you read this, you are on the right path. I know how vulnerable it feels to show up as a client and I will honor any ambivalence you feel on the journey. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to start therapy or even to define what therapy is.

If you're feeling stuck, frustrated, hopeless, I have been there too and you don’t have to do it alone.

I am a first generation immigrant, queer, non-binary, and late-diagnosed ADHDer who has personal experience living life on other people’s terms and having to re-ground and re-orient myself in order to set my own course. I have previously been an econ major (math minor!), massage therapist, and school counselor and in each of these vocations I found myself learning again that the human spirit is at the center of everything I find meaningful. Now as a therapist I integrate these experiences into my passion for providing radically-flexible, person-centered psychotherapy that holds space for the deeper you beyond whatever challenges or symptoms you are experiencing.

I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and a Licensed Professional Counselor in DC. I have specialized training in EMDR, IFS-informed therapy, somatic and nervous system approaches, and play and sand-tray therapy, but from my perspective no approach or modality can replace the value of attuned and caring presence. The relationship is the field and where healing happens. This has been my personal experience and it is a joy to collaborate and grow with you on the path.

Some of my clients are late (or early!)-diagnosed ADHD and autistic adults. I also love working with kids, tween, and teens of all neurotypes and I integrate my natural playfulness and curiosity into our work. I am a trauma therapist who supports clients struggling with attachment trauma, challenges or questions related to sexuality, gender, racial, and cultural identity, immigration, and cultural differences as well as adoption and assimilation trauma.

If you’re navigating feelings of displacement or self-alienation, I might be the right therapist for you. I will hold compassionate, non-judgmental space while you explore who you are in your journey to knowing and reclaiming yourself.

You will find me creative, warm, engaged, and I will approach our work with thoughtfulness about the complexity and meaning of your experiences. I believe that healing occurs when all parts of us are finally heard and witnessed and there is no part of you that I will fear or reject. I hope to help you find ways to resource yourself, find internal and external connection, create new corrective experiences, and build hope.

My top priorities are your safety and achieving earned trust. From there, growth and healing unfold naturally.
